Lys St Georges

Lys St Georges provide great dance music from England, France and Scandinavia.

Peter Barnard and Kate Billmore play as a duo – that is the original Lys St Georges concept – but also bring in other excellent musicians such as master Anglo concertina player Dave Prebble and cellist/fiddler Katy Robinson as an occasion requires.

We play for ceilidhs, parties, concerts, private events and more public gatherings.

South Riding 'Chamber Orchestra'

An ad hoc assemblage of musicians who play local tunes from manuscript collections. The name is a joke, coined because much of the material played does not encourage diatonic instruments. Furthermore the material which includes a large number of hornpipes, comes from an early period and has a classical sound. The music is extemporised and harmony playing is encouraged. The band welcomes anyone who wants to play.

Outre Manche

Outre Manche – Original music inspired by European traditional melodies and rhythms. With 3 different roots – French, Swiss and English, Outre Manche came together in Sheffield, UK, in 2004. Most of their music is composed by Gwenaelle, loosely arranged by the group and then improvised live so evey performance is unique. The lineup of harp, clarinette, percussion gives our individual sound. Outre Manche can make the perfect accompanyment to a wedding, traditional dance or simply a concert.

Tegwen Roberts

Tegwen is a South Yorkshire songstress, with a voice described invariably as ‘both beautifully powerful and gently haunting’. Her songs are a mixture of lyrical catharsis and life-inspired story telling.

skyhook are an exciting collaboration of three of the finest acoustic musicians in Sheffield, England. Martin Harwood, Cath James and Eoin Teather play traditional tunes and songs from Scotland, Ireland, Cape Breton Island, plus some brand new self-penned compositions.

Cadellin are a young, lively ceilidh band who play for English ceilidh dancing with a wide repertoire of tunes from around the British Isles and Europe.

Possibly the world’s only traditional english metalcore dance band, GloryStrokes bring together some well known names from the UK folk dance scene with a cataclysmic dash through their skeleton riddled musical closets.
